By creating an account, you agree to data collection as described in this policy, including use for training and improving AI models.

Camera & Photos

• Food photos are stored temporarily and deleted after 24 hours

AI Chat Logs

• Stored locally and deleted after 90 days
• High-level insights may be cloud-stored

Automatically Collected Data

• Device type, usage events, crash logs, anonymous analytics

Sensitive Data

We do not collect biometric identifiers, government IDs, or financial information.

4. AI Model Transparency

MacrosGPT is an independent product and is not affiliated with OpenAI or ChatGPT. AI assists with calorie estimation, food identification, insights, progress analysis, and coaching.

Data Access

The AI may access your age, weight, activity level, nutrition logs, exercise data, food photos, chat logs, and usage patterns to provide personalized coaching.

AI Training

By using MacrosGPT, you agree your data may be used to train AI models. Training data is anonymized, aggregated, and stripped of personal identifiers when possible.

Processing Locations

Data may be processed on cloud servers, Firebase infrastructure, or on-device.

Limitations

AI may misidentify foods, miscalculate calories, generate inaccurate advice, or hallucinate information. It does not provide medical advice.

Opt-Out

Opting out of AI data processing is not possible due to AI's core functionality role in the app.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

Your data is never sold. Sharing occurs only with necessary service providers:

• Firebase (Google Cloud): Authentication, database, and cloud functions
• App Store Billing: Apple App Store and Google Play billing systems

No Google Analytics or Meta Analytics are used.

Legal disclosures may occur per law enforcement or court orders.

6. Data Storage & Retention

• Cloud storage via Firebase: Retained until account deletion
• Photos: Deleted after 24 hours
• Chat logs: Deleted after 90 days
• Account data: Deleted entirely upon account deletion, with backups removed within 30 days

We use industry-standard security practices including:

No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

• Backups are removed within 30 days
• Previously used AI training data is excluded prospectively
• Photos and logs are auto-deleted per retention schedule
